Following the case study review that was conducted by ODI in March 2010 on whether or not AcT is helping CSOs to become more effective in achieving change through OM, AcT is now initiating a second phase of the case study. Once again ODI will return to visit two of the organisations that were studied last time as well as two new ones (to be decided).

AcT is inviting interested candidates to partner with Simon Hearn from ODI to conduct this case study. The study will help in getting a better understanding of how different organisations are using Outcome Mapping and also add to the candidate’s work experience.

Interested candidates can write a short note explaining why along with a CV to act@accountability.or.tz on or before 31 January 2012. Click here to read the TOR

In an effort to minimize the vulnerability of Tanzania and its people to climate change, AcT has opened a new funding window for Climate Change and Environment initiatives. The fund is being supported by DANIDA and UKAid through the Department for International Development and was launched on 1 December 2011. To see the presentation slides, click here.

The aim is to support organizations that are working on governance and accountability issues related to climate change and the environment. AcT believes that CSOs play a key role in providing citizens with information as well as holding the government accountable and hence will be the best partners to implement this initiative.

The application process will be similar to that used for current AcT partners. Click here to learn about the process. Only those applications related to climate change initiatives will be accepted. Deadline for sending in applications is 31 January 2012.
